Some days were really hard and it took a lot for me to do a workout with him.  The same day of my surgery,  I was up moving  and the next day walked nearly 200 steps. Meet Rod Stanley

From the weight room to the warship, from bestselling books to national TV, Rod Stanley’s journey through health and fitness is anything but ordinary.

Born and raised in Dublin, Georgia, Rod’s passion for fitness was forged during his time in the United States Marine Corps. After enlisting in 1998 and deploying aboard the USS Boxer, Rod returned home with a fire to rebuild his body following an injury—and a deeper mission: to help others transform their lives through health, strength, and self-mastery.

That mission became a lifelong calling.

Rod went on to become a competitive bodybuilder, earning titles such as the 2008 Las Vegas Classic Novice Heavyweight and Overall Champion and placing in elite contests like MuscleMania and Fame Body Proud. But it was his work behind the scenes—training, educating, and building personalized programs—that became his true legacy.c.).

For over 25 years, Rod has helped thousands take their health into their own hands. As the founder of Ritual Health and Fitness, Rod fuses cutting-edge science with intuitive coaching, empowering everyone from stay-at-home parents to elite athletes to reclaim control over their bodies and minds.

Rod’s expertise led him to work alongside one of the pioneers in age management medicine, Dr. Jeffry Life. Together, they co-authored the nutrition and exercise chapters in The Life Plan and Mastering the Life Plan, both New York Times bestsellers. Rod also served as Nutrition and Exercise Director at Cenegenics Elite Health, conducting hundreds of VO2 max tests, DEXA scans, and cardiometabolic evaluations, and training doctors nationwide in hormone optimization and preventative medicine.

Rod’s clients have included figure competitors, former NBA players, military veterans, physicians, and public figures—names like Dr. Erin Hurley MD, Lee Asher of The Asher House, and NBA legends Isaac Austin and Rick Barry. He’s been featured on The Dr. Phil Show in the “Bring Back My Sexy Spouse” segment and continues to appear in workshops and talks across the country.

But despite all the accolades, titles, and transformations—Rod will tell you his proudest achievements are at home. He’s been married for over 23 years to Jamie, the love of his life and partner in purpose. Together, they’re raising their son Jarod, whose brilliance and heart inspire Rod daily.

When he's not coaching clients or leading team challenges, Rod loves resistance training, yoga, biking, hiking, reading (especially on topics like metaphysics, history, and mindset), and spending as much time as possible with his family.
